Disney World Revamps Reservation System and Brings Back Dining Plans.

Walt Disney World is making changes to its reservation system, with guests who purchase a date-based ticket no longer needing to make a reservation starting Jan. 9, 2024. The theme park will also offer "good-to-go days" for annual passholders and cast members on select days without needing a park reservation. Additionally, guests who purchase a vacation package will be able to add a dining package to their reservation starting Jan. 9, 2024, with two options available: Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan.

Disney World drops park reservation requirements and reintroduces dining plans.

Walt Disney World will no longer require theme park reservations for date-based tickets starting January 9, 2024, and will offer select days for annual passholders and Disney cast members to visit without a reservation. The company is also bringing back fan-favorite dining plans for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package starting January 9, 2024. Some admission types may still require reservations to manage attendance. Bookings for 2024 visits will begin on May 31, 2021.

Disney World eliminates park reservation requirements and reintroduces dining plans in 2024.

Starting January 9, 2024, Walt Disney World will no longer require park reservations for most visitors and will bring back dining plans for resort hotel guests. Annual passholders and cast members will have select dates when reservations will not be required. Disney is also working on changes to Genie+ to allow guests to plan ahead of their park visit. All guests of Disney resort hotels may enter the parks 30 minutes before opening, and extended evening hours will continue to be available to guests of Deluxe resorts and villas on specific nights at select parks.

Disney World to Remove Park Reservation Requirements and Bring Back Dining Plans in 2024.

Disney World will remove theme park reservations for date-based tickets starting January 2024, but non-dated tickets may still require reservations. Annual Passholders and Cast Members will have "good-to-go days" without reservations, which will vary and be rolled out on an ongoing basis. The change will not affect Annual Passholders, Cast Members, and open-ended tickets.

Disney World brings back dining plans and removes park reservation requirements in 2024.

Walt Disney World will bring back the Disney Dining Plan for bookings made on May 31 and later for stays starting on Jan. 9, 2022, or later. The resort will also add "good-to-go" days for annual passholders and employees, meaning no reservations will be required on those dates for select theme parks. In addition, customers who buy date-specific tickets will no longer have to make theme park reservations after Jan. 9. The company is also looking into allowing visitors to use the Genie+ planning service and make individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of theme park visits.
