Anna Davis faces potential penalty at ANWA while hosting golf clinic for Boys and Girls Club.
Anna Davis, defending champion of the Augusta National Women's Amateur, may face a potential four-shot penalty after committing two violations on the first hole of her opening round. She lifted, cleaned, and placed her ball in the rough, which is only allowed in areas cut to fairway height or less. Davis was notified of the possible penalties on the fourth hole and could end up with a quintuple-bogey 9 on the first hole. There will be a review in scoring after the round.
