The film will follow Bob as he travels to Puerto Rico for a major construction job, exploring issues affecting the island and celebrating the vibrant textures of the Caribbean Latin nations. Ramos, who is also producing the film, sees it as carrying an important message and being inspired by his own life. The project is part of a slate of Mattel films in development, including a live-action "Barney" movie and a Vin Diesel-led "Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots."
