Tragedy Strikes College Baseball Volunteer in Dugout Collapse
Angel Mercado, a 19-year-old college baseball player, died after a makeshift dugout he was helping to dismantle collapsed on him, causing a traumatic head injury. The incident occurred during a summer recreation league game in Harrisburg, where the coach had built the dugout out of wood despite being told it wasn't allowed. The Cumberland County coroner's office ruled the death an accident, and no charges will be filed against anyone.
