Aluminium Migration: Google Says Not All Chromebooks Will Get the Android OS Upgrade
Google confirms ChromeOS’ shift to an Android-based stack (Aluminium). The move won’t be universal: older or budget Chromebooks may be unable to migrate and will stay on the current ChromeOS until Auto Update Expiration, while many newer mid-to-high-end devices are expected to receive the upgrade.
