Canucks Acquire Elias Lindholm in Blockbuster Trade with Flames
The Calgary Flames traded Elias Lindholm to the Vancouver Canucks for Andrei Kuzmenko, Vancouver's first-round pick, and two prospects. Lindholm had 32 points in 49 games for the Flames this season and will become an unrestricted free agent after this season. Kuzmenko had 21 points in 43 games for Vancouver this season and signed a two-year, $11 million contract last year. The Flames are sixth in the Pacific Division and hope to build a team that consistently makes the playoffs and eventually wins the Stanley Cup.
