UMG Rejects Ackman's Amsterdam Delisting Request Amid Tensions
Universal Music Group (UMG) has rejected billionaire Bill Ackman's request to delist from the Amsterdam Stock Exchange following antisemitic attacks in the city. Ackman, whose hedge fund Pershing Square Holdings claims a contractual right to list UMG in the U.S., argues that moving the listing would benefit the company. UMG stated it would consider the best interests of its shareholders before any decision, despite Ackman's push for a U.S. listing by next year.
