
Detroit Musician Amp Fiddler, Collaborator with Parliament-Funkadelic, Passes Away at 65
Amp Fiddler, the influential Detroit musician known for his fusion of funk, soul, and electronic music, has died at the age of 65 after battling cancer. Throughout his career, Fiddler released numerous solo albums, collaborated with artists such as Prince and Maxwell, and played keyboards in Parliament-Funkadelic. He also mentored producer J Dilla, helping launch his career. Fiddler's illness had been ongoing, and a GoFundMe was launched to support his medical expenses. A GoFundMe has now been set up to cover funeral costs.
