
Tragic Illinois Ammonia Truck Crash Claims Lives of 5, Including 2 Children
Two children and three others were killed when a semi-truck carrying several thousand gallons of anhydrous ammonia overturned in Teutopolis, Illinois. The crash caused a toxic gas cloud, leading to the evacuation of hundreds of residents. The area was cleared and residents were allowed to return home after testing indicated the dissipation of the danger. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Illinois State Police.
