Gordon Sargent dominates as low amateur at US Open.

Gordon Sargent, the No. 1-ranked men's golfer in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, is on track to win the low amateur title at the U.S. Open and could earn his PGA Tour card. Sargent, a rising junior at Vanderbilt, won the NCAA Division I national title in 2022 and was named the 2022-23 SEC Player of the Year. He needs to earn 20 points by the end of his junior year to receive his Tour card and currently has 16. Sargent is also eligible to represent the U.S. in the Walker Cup later this year.
