Top States for Alternative Romantic Getaways in the US
A new ranking of 175 "alternative romantic destinations" in the US, based on a survey of 3,000 couples, highlights places off the beaten path. While Florida, California, and Hawaii dominated the rankings, Illinois landed three spots on the list, with Galena leading the way at No. 78. Other Illinois spots to make the cut were Nauvoo and Wheaton. The Midwest had several other destinations on the list, including Ste. Genevieve, Chagrin Falls, and Stillwater.
