Traffic Woes on I-580 in the East Bay.
Caltrans warns of delays on eastbound Interstate 580 over Altamont Pass due to a failed retaining wall caused by storm damage. The far right lane of the freeway is shut down just east of North Flynn Road. Caltrans is looking into restriping the section of freeway and turning the empty space along the left side of the freeway into a temporary lane of traffic, but crews can't do that until the road is dry.
