Buddhist monks from Fort Worth’s Historic Stop Six temple completed a 2,300-mile Walk for Peace to Washington, D.C., and returned to a festive homecoming in East Fort Worth with flowers, lion dances and cheers; the journey included a monk’s leg amputation after a car crash and Aloka the dog’s surgeries, drew millions online, and culminates with the temple’s gratitude-filled reception as it pushes forward with the Dhammacetiya expansion.
