Chastain dominates NASCAR with third Cup Series victory at Nashville.
Ross Chastain won the NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, his third career victory and first win in over a year. Chastain held off Martin Truex Jr. to clinch a playoff berth and celebrated by smashing a watermelon on the start-finish line. The win was also the first for Trackhouse Racing this season and owner Justin Marks compared Chastain's learning curve to that of Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, and Tony Stewart.
