Pilot Rescued from Alligator-Infested Everglades After Plane Crash
Dramatic videos capture the rescue of a pilot who crash-landed into the alligator-infested waters of the Florida Everglades. First responders located the downed aircraft and lowered a first responder to hoist the pilot up to a hovering helicopter, as the area was unsuitable for landing. The pilot had been sitting on the wing since 4 a.m. and was dehydrated when rescued. He was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
