"Mass Recall of Furniture Tip-Over Restraints Sold Since 2019"
New Age Industries is recalling millions of furniture tip kits sold alongside clothing storage units due to the potential for the plastic zip tie in the kits to become brittle or break, causing the units to detach and tip over. The recall affects kits sold since November 2019 and includes products made in Vietnam. Consumers are urged to check for recalled kits and can request free replacements through the Alliance4Safety New Age recall website or by contacting the company directly. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that while there have been two reports of broken kits, no injuries have been reported. To prevent tip-overs, furniture should be anchored to a wall, and more information is available on the CPSC's AnchorIt.gov website.
