"Texas Shooting Tragedy: Adapting and Remembering Victims at Allen Premium Outlets"

Aishwarya Thatikonda, a 26-year-old project engineer, was killed in the mass shooting at Allen Premium Outlets that left eight dead and seven wounded. Thatikonda was creating a life for herself in North Texas and had plans to buy a house, get married and raise a family. She found a spiritual home at the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Frisco. Thatikonda's body was sent back to India after a 58-hour search to find and send her body home.

Honoring Victims and Heroes of the Allen Mall Shooting in Texas

Daniela and Sofia Mendoza, two sisters aged 11 and 8 respectively, were among the eight victims of the Allen shooting, the second-deadliest shooting in the US this year. The girls were described as leaders who showed compassion towards others and were known for their perfect attendance at school. Students and teachers throughout Wylie ISD wore yellow, the girls' favorite color, in their memory, and a memorial was set up in front of their school's sign with flowers, balloons, and stuffed animals.

Flags are flying at half-staff in Tennessee on Sunday to honor fallen firefighters during the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service. Additionally, President Joe Biden has ordered U.S. flags at federal buildings and grounds to fly at half-staff until May 11 to honor the victims of the mass shooting in Allen, Texas. The American flag should only be displayed from sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open.
