FX Picks Up New Series from 'The Bear' Creator Christopher Storer: 'All the Other Mothers Hate Me'
Christopher Storer, creator of the hit series "The Bear," has secured the rights to adapt Sarah Harman's upcoming book, "All the Other Mothers Hate Me," in a fierce bidding war involving over a dozen companies. The book follows an American woman who suspects her son of murdering a wealthy student at his West London private school. Storer, known for his darkly comedic style, has a successful overall deal with FX, where "The Bear" has garnered critical acclaim and multiple Emmy nominations. The adaptation comes at a time when the IP market is booming, with Storer also working on other projects, including directing the film adaptation of Don Winslow's "The Winter of Frankie Machine." Harman, a London-based journalist, will adapt her novel for FX under Storer's supervision.
