Warriors coach Steve Kerr earned an Oscar as executive producer of All the Empty Rooms, a Best Documentary Short–nominated film about the empty rooms of children killed in school shootings. Kerr wasn’t at the ceremony in L.A. and has spoken about his gun-violence advocacy following his father’s death, joining a growing list of NBA figures who have won Oscars, including Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Mike Conley, Stephen Curry, and Shaquille O’Neal.
