The Mountain West announced its 2023-24 men’s basketball awards, with Utah State's Danny Sprinkle named Coach of the Year, Great Osobor as Player and Newcomer of the Year, and San Diego State’s Lamont Butler as Defensive Player of the Year. Other honors included Co-Sixth Man of the Year for Mustapha Amzil and Josh Uduje, and Co-Freshman of the Year for JT Toppin and Dedan Thomas Jr. The All-Mountain West Men’s Basketball Team was also revealed, with Osobor, Darius Brown II, Tyson Degenhart, Isaiah Stevens, and Jaedon LeDee making the first team.
James Madison quarterback Jordan McCloud is named the Sun Belt Player of the Year, while Troy running back Kimani Vidal and James Madison defensive lineman Jalen Green are named Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively. App State quarterback Joey Aguilar is named Newcomer of the Year, Arkansas State quarterback Jaylen Raynor is named Freshman of the Year, and James Madison head coach Curt Cignetti is named Coach of the Year. James Madison, Troy, and App State lead with double-digit All-Sun Belt honorees. The Hercules Tires Sun Belt Football Championship Game will take place on December 2nd.
The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced its baseball season awards and All-Conference teams, with Virginia's Kyle Teel named ACC Player of the Year, Wake Forest's Rhett Lowder repeating as ACC Pitcher of the Year, and Wake Forest's Tom Walter named ACC Coach of the Year. Clemson's Cam Cannarella was named ACC Freshman of the Year, and North Carolina's Vance Honeycutt was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Wake Forest leads all schools with nine total selections on the All-ACC first, second, or third teams, followed by seven each from Miami and Virginia, five from Georgia Tech, and four from Clemson.
