USMNT prospect Alex Freeman departs Orlando City for Villarreal in near-$7M transfer
Orlando City has sold USMNT defender Alex Freeman to Villarreal for roughly $7 million (about $4 million base), with a sell-on clause. The 21-year-old rising star earned MLS Young Player of the Year, MLS All-Star and MLS Best XI honors in 2025 and has 13 US caps.
