Tigers' Manning, Foley, Lange Make Franchise History with Combined No-Hitter

The Detroit Tigers made franchise history with a combined no-hitter in a 2-0 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Olson shines as Tigers edge Twins 3-2.

Detroit Tigers' rookie pitcher Reese Olson dominated the Minnesota Twins with a fastball-slider heavy pitch mix and superb command, setting a new career high with nine strikeouts and earning the first win of his MLB career. Right-handed relievers Jason Foley and Alex Lange protected a one-run lead in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings to complete the 3-2 win at Comerica Park. With the win, the Tigers improved to 4½ games behind the Twins for first place in the American League Central.

White Sox dominate Tigers with walk-off win and grand slam sweep.

The Detroit Tigers lost 6-2 to the Chicago White Sox, completing a three-game sweep. Spencer Torkelson hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, but the Tigers finished 1-for-21 with runners in scoring position over the weekend. In the bottom of the ninth, the White Sox won the game with Jake Burger's walk-off grand slam off right-handed reliever Alex Lange. The Tigers scored three runs and were swept by the White Sox in the series.
