Twins' Alex Kirilloff lands on 10-day IL with shoulder injury
The Minnesota Twins have placed outfielder/first baseman Alex Kirilloff on the 10-day injured list due to a right shoulder strain, while reinstating left-handed pitcher Caleb Thielbar from the 15-day injured list. Kirilloff has been hitting .270 with 13 doubles, eight home runs, and 32 RBIs this season. Thielbar, in his seventh season with the Twins, had been sidelined with a right oblique strain but has since made two scoreless rehab appearances. The Twins currently hold the top spot in the American League Central, 1½ games ahead of the Cleveland Guardians.
