The Mythical Air: A Review
Screenwriter Alex Convery wrote the script for the Air Jordan creation-myth biopic "Air" out of desperation during the pandemic lockdown, never expecting it to be made into a movie. However, the right people read the script at the right time, and it was eventually adapted by director and co-star Ben Affleck, with Matt Damon producing. The film is based on Nike's 1984 endorsement-deal signing of Michael Jordan, and its watchability is predicated on "people in rooms talking"; there is only one scene of actual basketball in the whole thing.
