Judge allows lawsuit against convenience store in fatal boat crash.
A judge has ruled that the convenience store, Parker's Kitchens, accused of selling alcohol to Alex Murdaugh's youngest son, Paul, before a fatal boat crash that killed Mallory Beach, can be sued in a wrongful death lawsuit. The ruling comes more than four years after Paul illegally purchased the alcohol from the store. The crash eventually became a central event in Paul's father's high-profile trial, with prosecutors arguing the crash may have fueled his decision to kill his wife and second-born son a few years later. The lawsuit filed by Beach's family against the store is now set to move on.
