
Muscle Shoals guitar pioneer Travis Wammack dies at 81
Guitarist and producer Travis Wammack, a key figure in the Muscle Shoals sound and former bandleader for Little Richard, has died at 81. He released his first record at 11 and a charting instrumental, Scratchy, at 17. Wammack produced 16 albums and influenced countless sessions, with legacy recognized by the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
