"Air Serbia Passenger Jet Suffers Severe Damage in Takeoff Mishap"

An Air Serbia passenger jet, bound for Dusseldorf, Germany, from Belgrade, was left with gaping holes in its fuselage after striking landing poles during take-off. The 15-year-old plane, operated by Greek carrier Marathon Airlines, had to return to Belgrade for an emergency landing an hour after take-off. The aircraft sustained significant damage, including deep cracks and exposed connecting material between the wing and the body. Despite the damage, no serious injuries were reported among the passengers. The cause of the incident, in which the plane touched the landing pole on the 4,260-foot runway, is currently unknown.
