Hydeia Broadbent, a lifelong HIV/AIDS activist who was born with HIV and raised awareness about the virus from a young age, has passed away at 39. Despite facing numerous challenges, she remained determined to spread hope and positivity through education about HIV/AIDS. Broadbent made national headlines by appearing on television programs and speaking at the 1996 GOP convention. She was adopted at birth and diagnosed with HIV at age three, becoming a public voice for the virus. Throughout her life, she partnered with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation on advocacy and awareness campaigns. Her message emphasized HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, and accountability.
