Meta's Ray-Ban Smart Glasses now have AI-enabled vision features, allowing the onboard AI to see, hear, and interpret its environment through the glasses' camera and microphone. Mark Zuckerberg, Meta's CEO, showcased the new feature by asking the glasses what pants to wear with a striped shirt, receiving a somewhat unhelpful response. The glasses can also translate memes and access real-time information through Bing AI. While there are potential uses for vision-based AI, such as assisting blind or low-vision users, Meta seems to be starting with smaller features in this beta rollout.
