"AI-Powered Swarovski Binoculars Identify 9000 Birds"
Swarovski has unveiled the AX Visio binoculars, the world’s first AI-supported system capable of recognizing over 9,000 animal species, featuring a 13-megapixel camera and video capture capability. Designed by Marc Newson, the binoculars run on a modified version of Android and are equipped with AI subject recognition to identify birds and other animals, displaying information in the diopters and embedded in the metadata of captured photos. The binoculars can capture photos and videos, with wireless transmission of files via Bluetooth or WiFi to a dedicated app. Priced at $4,799, they are set to be available in February 2024.
