Google Photos Introduces 2024 Year-in-Review Feature
Google Photos has launched a '2024 Recap' feature that allows users to look back at their year's memories, including photos, insights, and AI-generated captions. The AI captions, available to select U.S. users, are powered by Google's Gemini AI and highlight significant moments from the year. The recap also provides personalized metrics on photo and video usage, and is designed to be shared on social media. However, the feature may inadvertently include difficult memories, as AI cannot yet discern which moments users might prefer to avoid.
