AMD Addresses Ryzen Burnout Issues with Voltage Caps and New AGESA Release
AMD has issued a second statement regarding the Ryzen 7000X3D processors' burnout issues, stating that it has identified the problem and distributed a new AGESA firmware that limits the SoC voltage to 1.3V to prevent the CPU from operating beyond its specification limits. AMD is working with its motherboard partners to release a new BIOS version, and users are recommended to update their BIOS to ensure their system has the most up-to-date software for their processor. The changes made to the AGESA firmware should not affect the user's ability to apply EXPO memory profiles on compatible DDR5 memory kits.
