AFP journalist Arman Soldin killed in rocket attack in Ukraine
Arman Soldin, a French journalist working for AFP, was killed in a rocket attack near Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine. He was with four colleagues at the time of the attack, but the other journalists were not injured. Soldin was an experienced reporter who regularly traveled to the front lines and had been AFP’s video coordinator in Ukraine since September 2022. He is one of several known journalists killed since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Colleagues described him as a “brave and tenacious journalist” who was “full of enthusiasm for life.”
