Protest Violence: Salt Lake City Shooting Sparks Safety Concerns
Afa Ah Loo, a former Project Runway contestant and Pacific Islander fashion designer, was unintentionally shot and killed during a protest in Salt Lake City when a peacekeeper fired at a man with an AR-15 who ran into the crowd. Ah Loo was an innocent bystander and not the target. He was known for his cultural designs and had dressed stars like Auli‘i Cravalho. He lived in Utah with his family.
