HBO is reportedly considering a Game of Thrones spinoff centered on Aegon Targaryen's conquest of Westeros, with The Batman II screenwriter Mattson Tomlin said to be working on the treatment. This potential spinoff comes amidst the upcoming release of House of the Dragon's second season, which explores the events of the Dance of the Dragons. HBO has also greenlit other spinoffs, including A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight and three animated series, as well as a Jon Snow-focused show set after the original series.
