
College Removes Vending Machines Over Facial Recognition Controversy
The University of Waterloo is removing smart vending machines from its campus after a student discovered an error code suggesting they used facial recognition technology. Adaria Vending Services, the company behind the machines, stated that the technology does not take or store customers' photos and is GDPR compliant.
