Italdesign has unveiled a highly limited, artistically redesigned version of the Acura NSX, blending modern styling with the original's racing DNA, though it's primarily a showcase of design capability rather than a mass-market release, with potential costs exceeding $1 million.
Acura will enter four production-based race cars in the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb, including a new NSX Type S prototype and an Integra Type S. The NSX Type S prototype, nicknamed "Yamabiko," features custom carbon bodywork designed to maximize downforce and an active-aero rear wing. Acura will also race an Integra and a TLX Type-S at Pikes Peak. The NSX Type S was built to improve Acura's own Pikes Peak record and will be piloted by James Robinson.
The Petersen Automotive Museum organized a drag race between a Dodge Viper and a Ferrari F40, two of the greatest production cars in history. The Viper has a V10 engine that generates 400 horsepower, while the F40 uses a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 with 477 hp. A red Acura NSX also joins the race. The video features technical specifications and history of the cars, and the races show the impressive performance of these supercars.
