Microsoft is introducing new energy-saving features for Xbox Series X/S consoles, including active hours that allow the console to boot quickly during certain hours and shut down fully to save energy during times when it's used less. The company is also rolling out a "carbon aware updates" feature that reduces dependency on fossil fuels and CO2 emissions. The power mode lowers Xbox power usage by about 20 times when compared to regular Sleep mode. The new features will be available this week.
