"Superman's First Comic Sells for Record $6 Million"
An original print edition of the 1938 comic book introducing Superman, Action Comics No. 1, sold at auction for a record-breaking $6 million, surpassing the previous record for a Superman comic. The rare find was described as one of the finest copies in the world and is considered one of the rarest and most influential comics ever printed. Only 200,000 copies were printed in 1938, and there are likely only 100 surviving copies today, with 78 in good enough condition to be sold or auctioned.
