Weezer performed an acoustic concert for striking writers outside Paramount Pictures, playing some of their biggest hits. The band joins Imagine Dragons and other celebrities in supporting the Writers Guild of America strike. Other forms of support have included pizza deliveries and live mariachi bands at the picket lines.
Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds and guitarist Wayne Sermon performed an acoustic concert outside Netflix headquarters in Los Angeles to show support for striking writers. The band performed hits like "Radioactive" and "Whatever It Takes" while surrounded by members of the Writers Guild of America. Reynolds expressed his support for the writers' strike, saying they deserve better compensation for their work in creating and driving entertainment in Hollywood. Other celebrities, including Pete Davidson and late-night talk show hosts, have also shown support for the striking writers.
