Accused Cyclist Killer's Months-Long Escape Plan Revealed
Kaitlin Armstrong, accused of murdering competitive cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson, had allegedly been planning her escape from police custody for several months. Armstrong used a bogus passport to flee to Costa Rica before being captured 43 days later. During a recent medical appointment, Armstrong managed to briefly escape from two deputies, but was apprehended a block away. Surveillance footage revealed that Armstrong had been exercising vigorously in her cell, while complaining of injuries to secure specialized medical attention. She attempted to disguise herself during the escape and is now facing an additional charge of escape causing bodily injury. Armstrong's trial is scheduled to begin on October 30.
