ACCT Philly urgently needs to find homes for at least 70 dogs by Monday to isolate sick dogs or those exposed to canine flu. The shelter will be closed for dog intake on April 24 and 25 to move the dogs and disinfect the building. The community can help by fostering, adopting, or donating to the shelter.

More than 70 large dogs at ACCT Philly are at risk of being euthanized if not adopted or fostered by April 24 due to the need for a temporary shelter to hold dogs exposed to canine flu. ACCT Philly is Philadelphia's only animal care and control provider that helps the community with an open intake of animals. The nonprofit is calling for people to foster a large dog for a month or make a donation to help with the effort. Adoption fees are waived for dogs over 40 pounds until April 23rd, and those who can foster large dogs will receive a $400 Visa gift card at the end of the month.
