Michael Diggs, suspected accomplice, has been charged with helping 17-year-old fugitive Shane Pryor escape from police custody at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Pryor, awaiting trial for a 2020 shooting death, managed to flee while at a medical visit. U.S. Marshals shared video of Pryor leaving the hospital and believe he obtained transportation out of University City. A $5K reward has been issued for his capture, and police warn that anyone helping Pryor will also face charges.
A 17-year-old murder suspect, Shane Pryor, escaped from custody during a medical visit to a Philadelphia hospital and was believed to have been picked up by an accomplice. Pryor, who has been charged with killing a woman in 2020, had been held at a juvenile detention center. He is the fifth person to escape from Philadelphia prison staff custody in the last year.
Monique Olivier, the ex-wife of French serial killer Michel Fourniret, is on trial as an accomplice in the kidnapping and murder of three females, two of whom remain missing. Fourniret confessed to killing Parrish, Domèce, and Mouzin, but died in prison before facing trial for Parrish's murder. Olivier, who is already serving a life sentence for her involvement in Fourniret's crimes, has been charged with complicity in the murders and kidnappings. The trial represents the last chance for justice for Parrish's family.
Amir Woods, the brother of a Philadelphia inmate who escaped from prison and was recaptured after a 10-day manhunt, has posted bail after being charged as an accomplice. Woods was charged with Criminal Conspiracy, Hindering Apprehension, and Escape. He allegedly helped the fugitive, Ameen Hurst, arrange for transportation during his time away from prison. Hurst was captured on Wednesday after missing three deadlines brokered by his family members. Woods paid the required 10% of a $1M bail set.
An investigator in the trial of Lori Vallow Daybell, the mother charged with murder, conspiracy and grand theft in connection to the deaths of her two children and Tammy Daybell, revealed that her brother, Alex Cox, made internet searches related to guns and shooting from a distance on the same day Tammy Daybell reported being shot at. Prosecutors believe Cox was an accomplice in the murders. The prosecution and defense have clashed over whether Tammy Daybell was shot at with a real gun or a paintball gun. Both sides have rested their case, and closing arguments will begin on Thursday.
Alexis Elling, the girlfriend of the primary murder suspect, Bradley Weyaus, has been arrested and charged with aiding an offender after the fact in connection to the murder of Rodney Pendegayosh Jr. Elling admitted to investigators that she helped move the storage container that held Pendegayosh's body after he was killed. The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office found human remains in a tote wrapped in bungee cords and industrial tape along the Mille Lacs Lake shoreline on March 21, and through the course of their investigation, police learned that Weyaus might've been involved. The investigation is ongoing.
