Amir Woods, the brother of a Philadelphia inmate who escaped from prison and was recaptured after a 10-day manhunt, has posted bail after being charged as an accomplice. Woods was charged with Criminal Conspiracy, Hindering Apprehension, and Escape. He allegedly helped the fugitive, Ameen Hurst, arrange for transportation during his time away from prison. Hurst was captured on Wednesday after missing three deadlines brokered by his family members. Woods paid the required 10% of a $1M bail set.

Lori Vallow Daybell murder trial concludes with closing arguments.

An investigator in the trial of Lori Vallow Daybell, the mother charged with murder, conspiracy and grand theft in connection to the deaths of her two children and Tammy Daybell, revealed that her brother, Alex Cox, made internet searches related to guns and shooting from a distance on the same day Tammy Daybell reported being shot at. Prosecutors believe Cox was an accomplice in the murders. The prosecution and defense have clashed over whether Tammy Daybell was shot at with a real gun or a paintball gun. Both sides have rested their case, and closing arguments will begin on Thursday.

Multiple arrests made in connection to Mille Lacs Lake homicide and body found in tote.

Alexis Elling, the girlfriend of the primary murder suspect, Bradley Weyaus, has been arrested and charged with aiding an offender after the fact in connection to the murder of Rodney Pendegayosh Jr. Elling admitted to investigators that she helped move the storage container that held Pendegayosh's body after he was killed. The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office found human remains in a tote wrapped in bungee cords and industrial tape along the Mille Lacs Lake shoreline on March 21, and through the course of their investigation, police learned that Weyaus might've been involved. The investigation is ongoing.
