
Fireworks Ignite Rockville House Fire, Authorities Confirm
A house fire in Rockville, Montgomery County, was caused by a plastic bag full of discarded fireworks, resulting in $1.25 million in damage and displacing a family. The fireworks, purchased outside the county, ignited and spread to nearby shrubbery and the house. One firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the fire did not affect neighboring homes. Possessing, selling, burning, or exploding fireworks is illegal in Montgomery County.
