One person has died after a house exploded in New Gloucester, Maine. The homeowner, 44-year-old Lado Lodoka, was killed in the explosion while working on the home's oil-fired furnace. A family member inside the house at the time managed to escape unharmed. Fire officials are investigating the incident, but it has been deemed accidental.
Thousands of residents in Belgorod, Russia were evacuated after an undetonated missile was found near the site of an accidental explosion caused by a Russian fighter jet that dropped a bomb near the city center. Bomb technicians were brought in to defuse the missile, and residents were taken to temporary shelters. Three people were injured in the explosion, and four apartment buildings and four cars were damaged. The bomb was later removed, and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
