
Turkey's Erdogan announces killing of ISIS leader in Syria
Turkish President Erdogan announced that Turkish intelligence forces have killed the suspected leader of ISIL, Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi, in an intelligence operation in Jinderes, northwestern Syria. The raid took place near the northern Syrian town of Jinderes, which is controlled by Turkey-backed rebel groups. The area was later encircled by security forces to prevent anyone from approaching. ISIL has not yet made any announcement regarding the incident.
