A drag race between an Audi RS6-R Avant and a Maserati MC20 was cut short due to launch errors made by the RS6-R Avant's driver. The driver committed four launch errors, with the last one being the most crucial. The driver forgot to get off the reverse gear for the race restart, causing the car to lunge backward and hit a spectator who was recording the race. The RS6-R Avant was tuned by ABT and features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that produces 730 hp and 679 lb-ft of torque. Only 125 RS6 Avant units were converted by ABT to the RS6-R specification.
