Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster made their debut in the Tony-nominated revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Their limited 12-week engagement will conclude on May 5, 2024. The musical, featuring Stephen Sondheim's score and directed by Thomas Kail, opened on Broadway in 2023 with the original orchestration. Sweeney Todd tells the tale of a vengeful barber and a resourceful pie shop owner wreaking havoc on Fleet Street.
Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster are set to star in the Broadway revival of "Sweeney Todd" as the Demon Barber and Mrs. Lovett, respectively. They will replace Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford, beginning performances on Feb. 9, 2024, and leaving the show 12 weeks later.
