Bruce Springsteen salutes Shane MacGowan with Pogues cover and tribute essay
Bruce Springsteen released a cover of The Pogues’ A Rainy Night In Soho from the forthcoming Shane MacGowan tribute album 20th Century Paddy: The Songs of Shane MacGowan and penned a moving essay hailing MacGowan as a 'natural rebel' whose music will outlive generations. The project also features Tom Waits, Kate Moss and other artists, and the Pogues themselves are staging a UK/Ireland Greatest Hits tour.
