"Martin Scorsese's New Jesus Film: A Personal and Concise Take on Organized Religion"
Martin Scorsese is set to direct an 80-minute film about Jesus, aiming to present his teachings in a way that removes the negative associations with organized religion. Inspired by a novel by Japanese Catholic writer Shūsaku Endō, the film will focus on Jesus's core teachings without proselytizing and is set to be shot in 2024. Scorsese's previous works with religious themes include The Last Temptation of Christ and Silence, and the new project has pushed back another announced film adaptation.
